10 kwietnia 2025 roku, dokładnie 15 lat od jednej z największych tragedii we współczesnej historii Polski, katastrofy lotniczej pod Smoleńskiem, w której zginęło 96 osób. Lecieli, by oddać hołd ofiarom zbrodni katyńskiej. Sami stali się ofiarami tragicznego losu.

Wśród poległych byli Prezydent Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej Lech Kaczyński z Małżonką, ostatni Prezydent RP na uchodźstwie Ryszard Kaczorowski, wysocy rangą dowódcy Wojska Polskiego, duchowni różnych wyznań, parlamentarzyści, przedstawiciele rodzin katyńskich, urzędnicy państwowi, społecznicy i dziewięciu funkcjonariuszy Biura Ochrony Rządu. Każdy z nich miał swoją historię, misję, odpowiedzialność. Każdy z nich zapisał się na trwałe w naszej narodowej pamięci.

Katastrofa smoleńska była nie tylko dramatem rodzin i przyjaciół ofiar, była także ciosem dla całej wspólnoty narodowej. Pokazała, jak kruche są struktury państwa i jak nagle można stracić tych, którzy je tworzyli. Ale 10 kwietnia 2010 roku to również dzień, który na nowo przypomniał nam o znaczeniu słowa „pamięć”. O obowiązku jej pielęgnowania, niezależnie od różnic i podziałów.

Dziś, 15 lat później, zatrzymujemy się w zadumie. Zapalamy znicze, składamy kwiaty, odmawiamy modlitwy. Wspominamy nie tylko tych, którzy zginęli, ale i to, co reprezentowali – służbę Rzeczypospolitej, troskę o jej historię i przyszłość.

Niech ta rocznica będzie czasem refleksji, wyciszenia i jedności. Niech pamięć o 10 kwietnia 2010 roku łączy, a nie dzieli. Niech będzie świadectwem naszego szacunku dla przeszłości i odpowiedzialności za przyszłość.

🖤🇵🇱 April 10, 2025, exactly 15 years since one of the greatest tragedies in modern Polish history: the plane crash near Smolensk that claimed the lives of 96 people. They were flying to honor the victims of the Katyn massacre. They themselves became victims of a tragic fate.

🖤🇵🇱 Among the fallen were the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczyński, and his wife; the last President of Poland in exile, Ryszard Kaczorowski; high-ranking commanders of the Polish Armed Forces; clergy of various faiths; members of parliament; representatives of the Katyn families; public officials; social activists; and nine officers of the Government Protection Bureau. Each of them had a story, a mission, and a sense of duty. Each of them is forever etched into our national memory.

🖤🇵🇱 The Smolensk disaster was not only a tragedy for the families and friends of the victims. It was a blow to the entire national community. It revealed how fragile the structures of a state can be, and how suddenly we can lose those who help shape it. But April 10, 2010, also became a day that reminded us of the true meaning of the word „remembrance.” Of the duty to preserve memory, regardless of differences or divisions.

🖤🇵🇱 Today, 15 years later, we pause in reflection. We light candles, lay flowers, and say prayers. We remember not only those who perished, but also what they stood for, their service to the Republic of Poland, their care for its history, and their commitment to its future.
